Ghanaian youngster Raymond Asante made an immediate impact on his Patro Eisden Maasmechelen debut in the Belgian Challenger Pro League, finding the back of the net in a dramatic 4-4 draw against Jong Genk U23 over the weekend.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Asante, who recently joined the club on loan from Sporting Charleroi, was handed a starting role on Friday and wasted no time making his mark. He scored just six minutes into the match to open his account for the Belgian second-tier side, following an early opener from Leandro Rousseau in the first minute.
Despite Patro taking a quick two-goal lead in the opening six minutes, they were unable to hold onto it, with the match ending in a thrilling draw.
The result keeps Patro Eisden in fifth place after 23 games as they chase promotion, but Asante’s debut goal provides a perfect start to his new chapter. The Ghanaian forward will now look to build on this promising start as he adapts to his new club.
