Ghanaian Chef Faila Abdul-Razak’s ambitious attempt to break the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual has unfortunately fallen short.
Her management released a statement attributing the failure to the inability to meet the stringent guidelines set by Guinness World Records, as well as a violation of the rest break rules during the attempt.
Despite the setback, Chef Faila expressed gratitude to the people of Ghana for their overwhelming support throughout the event.
She acknowledged the support of sponsors, partners, and fans, emphasizing the crucial role their backing played in her journey.
Guinness World Records also acknowledged and commended Chef Faila for her remarkable effort, stating, “We commend you for your tremendous efforts with this record attempt. We hope you can still be very proud of what you have achieved.”
During the cook-a-thon, Chef Faila dedicated an impressive 227 hours to her endeavor, capturing the attention of many Ghanaians, including Vice President Dr. Bawumia, who visited the Tamale stadium where the event took place.

Over the course of 10 days, she tirelessly cooked and served over 200 meals to orphans and vulnerable individuals, demonstrating her passion for cooking and her commitment to making a positive impact in her community.
