His remarks come in response to comments made by DCOP Gabriel Prince Waabu regarding the exclusion of the military from the security arrangement for the 2024 general elections.

Agordzo disagreed with Waabu’s statement, emphasizing that election security management requires different roles and contributions from various security agencies, including the military.

While the police may have a visible presence at polling stations and collation centers, other security forces play essential roles, such as border security to prevent infiltration by terrorists.
