Abdul Waris Umaru, popularly known as Comedian Waris, revealed that his highest monthly revenue from content generation on Facebook reached $9000.
Additionally, he disclosed earning between $5000 to $6000 in a week from TikTok in December of the previous year.
Waris acknowledged the significant earning potential from social media content creation but highlighted Ghana’s challenges with monetization on these platforms.
He noted that many Ghanaian content creators, including himself, often collaborate with Nigerian counterparts due to these issues.
Reflecting on his initial experience with earning from Facebook, Waris expressed disbelief at the substantial income and admitted to withdrawing the money cautiously until he was convinced of its legitimacy.
In addition to his comedy career, Waris serves as a brand influencer for various companies. However, he mentioned the complexities associated with influencer marketing, including the need for clear communication and understanding between influencers and brands.

Waris shared his insights during an interview on TV3’s The Afternoon Show, where he discussed the financial benefits of social media content creation.
