KiDi comments on prior social media trolling: “I’m not proud of that”

KiDi, a Ghanaian singer-songwriter, has stated that he is not proud of his previous trolling.

He exploited his social media platform for trolling at a young age. “I was probably 19, 20,” he says. Social media was not always what it is today. You come to social media to speak trash and get on with your life.”

He expressed regret for his actions, noting that such events educate and grow you.

“I accept complete accountability and responsibility for that.” I’m not proud of it, but I’ve also realised that the individuals we are now, no matter how old you are, are not how you came into this world. “You’ve gone through a lot of experiences to learn and grow into the adult you are,” he said.

In an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3 on Friday, July 28, 2023, the ‘Touch It’ singer explained that he had to learn the hard way from the event, despite the fact that it moulded who he is now. What he did was done in his “foolish youthful days,” according to him.

“Unfortunately, this was my foolish youth, but I got through it, and I’m proud to say that I’m no longer this type of person.” I’ve had to learn the hard way that this is unacceptable, and I’m content with the man I’ve become because I’m a great guy,” he said.

When asked to counsel those who continue to indulge in such activities, the VGMA 2022 artiste of the year stated that some people had to go through specific ordeals before learning; no amount of advice would work.

“‘Wob3 nnyin ab3 tu’ (you’ll grow to come and see).” There are certain things in life that you can never counsel someone on; they must experience them for themselves and learn from them. That is my opinion. “They won’t learn unless they experience it for themselves,” he said.
