The “Awake Experience” concert organized by Diana Hamilton at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) auditorium in Teshie, Accra, on Sunday, February 18, 2024, was an unforgettable night of music and inspiration, setting records as the most successful gospel concert ever held at the venue.
The evening kicked off with a stellar performance by the legendary Daughters of Glorious Jesus, whose world-class act set the stage for Nigerian gospel icon Mercy Chinwo. Mercy’s rendition of her hit songs, including “Na You Dey Reign,” captivated the audience and set the tone for the rest of the night.
However, the true highlight of the evening came when Diana Hamilton herself graced the stage. Her performance electrified the auditorium, and the energy reached a fever pitch when she was joined by Mercy Chinwo for their chart-topping collaboration, “The Doing of the Lord.”
Beyond the music, the concert was a gathering of luminaries from both the NDC and NPP parties, including Sam Gyata George, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Julius Debrah, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and Elizabeth Ohene, among others. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion and underscored the unity and appreciation for gospel music across political divides.

Patrons expressed their gratitude to the organizers, praising the “magnificent program” that left them uplifted and inspired. The “Awake Experience” concert was more than just a musical event; it was a transformative experience that resonated deeply with all who attended.
