In a statement released on Thursday, March 5, 2026, the Authority said the challenges that affected the production of the national identification cards have been successfully fixed. As a result, card printing services are now fully operational at all NIA offices across the country.

The NIA explained that the temporary suspension was due to technical faults within its production system, which slowed down the printing of the Ghana Card. However, the Authority indicated that the issues have now been rectified, restoring normal operations.

Officials also expressed gratitude to the public for their patience during the interruption. The Authority acknowledged the inconvenience caused and thanked citizens and residents for their cooperation while efforts were made to resolve the situation.
