MultiChoice has revealed plans to phase out its streaming service, Showmax, following a strategic assessment of the platform’s future in the highly competitive global streaming industry.

Despite the announcement, MultiChoice assured customers that the service will continue to operate for the time being. Subscribers have been informed that there will be no immediate disruption to their streaming access and that they can keep watching content on the platform as usual.
The company also stressed that users do not need to take any action at this stage. According to the notice, further details about the planned shutdown and the transition process will be communicated well in advance.
