The presentation is expected to touch on major sectors including the economy, healthcare delivery, education, agriculture and infrastructure development. It will also provide updates on Ghana’s foreign relations and international commitments.

Ahead of the address, the Minority caucus has called on the President to go beyond general assurances and present practical solutions to challenges confronting the youth, particularly unemployment and the prevailing economic difficulties.

Meanwhile, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has instructed Members of Parliament to be seated in the Chamber by 8:30 a.m., stressing that latecomers will not be admitted. The 2026 SONA is widely expected to shape legislative priorities and policy implementation for the year, offering a clearer picture of the government’s roadmap for national growth and stability.
