“Be patience — Mahama cannot appoint everyone,” Johnson Asiedu Nketia urges NDC members.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on party supporters who are yet to receive government appointments to remain calm, emphasizing that opportunities within the current administration are limited.

He explained that constitutional provisions restrict the number of appointments the president can make, making it impossible to accommodate every deserving party member at once.

Speaking to party faithful in Winneba in the Effutu Constituency on Thursday, February 12, Asiedu Nketia acknowledged the disappointment among some supporters but assured them that the leadership recognizes and appreciates their concerns.

He noted that some members feel sidelined following the party’s return to power, adding that his ongoing “Thank You Tour” is aimed at engaging supporters directly and clarifying such concerns. According to him, the constitutional cap on appointments under President Mahama means not everyone can be offered a position, and therefore patience is required.

He further advised members against expressing their frustrations through anger or public criticism, urging them instead to channel grievances through the party’s internal structures for resolution. Constructive engagement, he stressed, remains the most effective way to address concerns.
