President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Lusaka, Zambia, yesterday for a three-day State Visit, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Lordina Mahama. The President traveled from Dubai, where he participated in the World Governments Summit.
At Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, he was warmly welcomed by Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema and his wife.

The visit highlights President Mahama’s dedication to promoting a more integrated Africa, focusing on improved transport infrastructure, expanded trade networks, and the free movement of people and goods across the continent. Later in the evening, he met with members of the Ghanaian community in Lusaka.
Today, President Mahama is set to hold bilateral discussions with President Hichilema, addressing issues of shared interest such as strengthening diplomatic ties, enhancing trade and investment cooperation, and exploring opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
During the visit, he will also address the Zambian National Assembly, sharing Ghana’s vision for a united and prosperous Africa.
Additionally, a Ghana–Zambia Business Dialogue will be co-chaired by Presidents Mahama and Hichilema. The dialogue aims to provide a platform for Ghana to showcase its digital technologies and fintech solutions to Zambian businesses and government institutions, fostering economic collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two nations.
