The University for Development Studies – Ghana is now the World’s best University team to have won the World University Football Championships Cup held in China in the month of September 2025.
The University arrives best by beating the Brazilian Team. The UDS team ranked the 1st Run-Up with the highest goals, winning with 4 goals in the Men’s Group C, followed by Brazil’s Paulista University Team with 2 goals.
The Vice President of Ghana and the Ministry of Education have issued congratulatory messages to show appreciation for the team’s performance at the just-ended FISU Championship. The team is scheduled to arrive in October to a resounding welcome.
This resounding win by the University of Development Team has also raised concerns about neglect of the University games and the need to add more value in the development of sports in the various institutions.
