Mohammed Kudus scores brace in West Ham big win over Freiburg

Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus showcased a stellar performance, scoring twice for West Ham United in their Europa League clash against Freiburg, leading his team to a resounding victory and securing their spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.

In the second leg of the fixture, West Ham, trailing 1-0 from their previous defeat in Germany, wasted no time in asserting dominance. Lucas Paqueta set the tone with an early goal just nine minutes into the game. This was followed by Jarrod Bowen’s goal in the 32nd minute, putting West Ham in the lead for the first time in the tie. Aaron Cresswell then added to the tally with a superb strike, further solidifying West Ham’s position.

However, it was Mohammed Kudus who stole the show with his remarkable performance. In the 77th minute, Kudus displayed exceptional skill and determination, dribbling past four Freiburg players from his own half before calmly finishing with his weaker foot, extending West Ham’s lead to 4-0.

Not content with just one goal, Kudus struck again in the 85th minute, this time with a left-footed shot that found the bottom corner of the net, sealing a comprehensive 5-0 victory for West Ham.

With this impressive win, West Ham United advance to the quarterfinals of the Europa League, with the draw for the next round scheduled for Friday, March 15th.
