Ambrose Entsiwah Junior, the Director of Corporate Affairs at the National Service Secretariat (NSS), has announced that service personnel will receive their allowances for November and December by the end of the day tomorrow, Wednesday, March 13.
He assured that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the payments will be processed and deposited into the service personnel’s E-Zwich cards.
Speaking on Ghana Tonight, Entsiwah explained that the Secretariat had encountered challenges with the E-Zwich cards and issues related to impersonations, which delayed the initiation of payments.
However, these issues have been resolved, and the Secretariat has now forwarded the allowances for November and December to GhIPSS (Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems) for processing.
Entsiwah clarified that the Secretariat typically uses the first two months to validate and approve service personnel, ensuring that only genuine individuals are enrolled in the NSS system.
He emphasized that the delay in payment was necessary to address these issues and ensure fairness to all service personnel.

Additionally, Entsiwah assured service personnel that going forward, there will be no undue delays in the release of their allowances, as all issues have been resolved.
He acknowledged that the delay was regrettable and reiterated the Secretariat’s earlier apology to the personnel.
Overall, Entsiwah’s announcement provides assurance to service personnel that their allowances will soon be disbursed and emphasizes the Secretariat’s commitment to addressing any challenges to ensure timely payments in the future.
