It’s saddening to hear about John Bredu Peasah’s diagnosis with a life-threatening Demyelinating disease. Known for his role as Drogba in the popular YOLO series, Peasah has been battling the illness for the past two years.
News of his illness spread on social media on March 8, after fellow Ghanaian actor Jeffrey Nortey shared a flyer requesting financial assistance for Peasah’s medical treatment.
In the YOLO series, Peasah portrayed the character of Drogba, also known as Blah Charles, who was depicted as a ‘lover boy’ willing to go to any lengths to pursue the women he desired.

YOLO, which stands for “You Only Live Once,” is a Ghanaian teenage TV series that premiered in 2016. It serves as a sequel to the Ghanaian TV series “Things We Do for Love” and offers advice and guidance to youth facing challenges during their adolescent years.
