President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has strongly refuted claims that he is endorsing any candidate vying for leadership of the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 elections.
During a meeting with NPP Communicators at the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that his main focus is ensuring the NPP’s victory in the upcoming polls. He dismissed the allegations of government machinery being used to support a specific candidate, stating that such claims are untrue and should be disregarded. He asserted that he cannot impose a candidate on the party and labeled the narrative as false and malicious.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has vehemently denied any truth in the allegations of endorsing a specific candidate. He expressed absolute confidence in his stance and stated that no member of the NPP can claim that he has asked for their support for any particular aspirant. He further clarified that neither the government nor he has taken any action against any MMDCE or political appointee based on their support for a particular presidential aspirant. The President emphasized that such accusations are baseless and unfounded.
