An STC bus carrying Senior High School students from Kasoa to Cape Coast was involved in an accident in the Central Region’s Gomoa Buduatta junction.
According to reports, the GT-1079-20 bus collided with a speeding tipper truck from Winneba and somersaulted.
According to reports, the pupils on the bus were from several Central Region schools.
The incident happened on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Some of the victims were rescued, but others remained trapped in the wrecked bus as of the early morning hours of the catastrophe.
Meanwhile, rescuers from the Ghana National Fire Service and other emergency agencies are on the scene.
So yet, no deaths have been reported.
