The list of the world’s happiest nations has once again been revealed, illuminating the countries where people experience the highest levels of well-being and life satisfaction.
The world’s happiest nations have been identified using statistical analysis in the World Happiness Report, a publication by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
The rating provides information on what makes a country a wonderful place to live by taking into account a variety of economic, social, and environmental issues.
According to a CNN story on this year’s release, charitable giving is around 25% greater than it was before the outbreak of the pandemic.
“Goodwill toward others, particularly the aiding of strangers, which increased significantly in 2021, remained high in 2022,” One of the authors of the World Happiness Report, John Helliwell, stated in an interview with CNN.
According to the report global happiness has not taken a hit in the three years of the Covid-19 #pandemic. Life evaluations from 2020 to 2022 have been “remarkably resilient,” the report says, with global averages basically in line with the three years preceding the pandemic.
Africa averages out to a score of 4.4, and there is a lot of regional variation.
The highest-ranked country in Africa goes to the island nation of #Mauritius. In addition to the country’s natural beauty and stability, there is growing economic opportunity. Mauritius is classified as an upper-middle-income country by #WorldBank and is one of the fastest-growing high-income markets in the world.
#SierraLeone has the lowest score of African countries that were included in the index, followed by #Zimbabwe and the #DemocraticRepublicofCongo. It’s worth noting, there are a few data gaps in the region, including #Burundi, which is currently the poorest country in the #world per the report.
The United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/281, proclaiming 20 March to be observed annually as the International Day of Happiness.
