The Accra High Court has dismissed investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas' 25 million defamation suit against Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. The judge, Justice Eric Baah, ruled that Anas Aremeyaw failed to establish that Ken Agyapong defamed him by airing the documentary "Who watches the watchman," but rather that the documentary exposed shady deals in which Anas and his associates were involved. Anas asked the court to award him GHC25 million as compensation for the defamatory material published against him by the MP. The court determined that Anas is engaged in investigative terrorism rather than investigative journalism. "I find the plaintiff's [Anas Aremeyaw Anas'] claims to be meritless, and they are hereby dismissed." Justice Baah made the decision.
