They did, however, have difficulty putting out the fire, according to TV3.
“The situation here is extremely serious,” our Ashanti Region reporter Ibrahim Abubakar previously reported.
Traders were seen running helter-skelter as thick smoke billowed from the market’s back entrance.
As the fire raged on, many attempted to save some of their wares.
