Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ashaiman Constituency Alfred Kwame Agbesi says the government wants to turn Ashaiman into a battleground, especially since it came to power with the slogan ‘The Battle is the Lord’s.
He said anyone who wants to wage war or engage in battle should go to Ukraine rather than Ashaiman, citing the Bible to back up his claim and specifically challenging Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“Because he likes quoting the bible, because Ofori-Atta likes quoting the Bile I am also quoting the Bible to them that we are protected. It’s not Ukraine. They should not risk it because the Lord is our defender.”
